The song (titled "The Fellowship") will appear on the upcoming Vampire Diaries soundtrack, as well as part of the Smashing Pumpkins’s Teargarden By Kaleidyscope EP: The Solstice (“Widow Wake My Mind,” “A Song For A Son,” and “A Stitch In Time” are also part of the massive 44-track project).

[Video] Major Lazer - Percumajor

Major Lazer did a dancehall take on Cajmere’s 1992 club hit “Coffee Pot (It’s Time for the Percolator). I think the video is cooler than the song itself. Lots of awesome cameos. “Percumajor” appears on a compilation of “Perculator” remixes, out now via Cajual Records.

In promotion of their upcoming Madison Square Garden show on 10/20, Phoenix has revealed a 3rd part of the song (which actually sounds more like a remix).

[Audio] Karen O's track for Jackass 3D

Karen O recorded a cover of country singer-songwriter Roger Alan Wade's "If You're Gonna Be Dumb, You Gotta Be Tough" for the Jackass 3D soundtrack. Ms. O shows off a goofy country twang on the track, and even cracks herself up at one point.

The Jackass 3D soundtrack is out digitally October 12 on Epitaph (physical copies come out October 26) and features Weezer, Twisted Sister, and N.A.S.A.'s Squeak E. Clean (aka Spike Jonze's brother Sam Spiegel) remix of the Minutemen's "Corona" (the "Jackass" theme song). The film Jackass 3D is out October 15.

[Video] The xx Cover Robin S. "Show Me Love"

Earlier this week at New York's United Palace Theater, the xx added a spare, hushed cover of the Robin S. "Show Me Love" to their song "Shelter", and a fan caught it on video. It's pretty fun to hear the crowd whoop when they figure out what song they're hearing. Watch the clip below, via the Fader; "Show Me Love" starts at 3:20.

The missive is currently up for sale at Julien's Auctions (current high bid: $2,250) and reads:

"Dear Empty TV/ the entity of all Corporate /GODS /We will survive without you/ easily-- the/ old school is going/ DOWN FAST/ my lifes Dedication/ is Now to Do Nothing/ But SLAG something/ Kurdt Kobaineee professional Rock musician."

Kid Cudi on Wale... Part 2

Yesterday, Complex posted the outtakes from CuDi’s cover story, which only served to toss a little more fuel to the fire as we got to read more of Mr. Rager’s views on Wale, Gaga and the costliness of that coke bust.

Complex: Last September you shot a page for GQ’s Men of the Year issue with him and Drake; was everything cool then?

Kid CuDi: The whole time me and him and Drake were doing the GQ shoot, Wale was bitching and being aggravated that clothes weren’t in his size, just really not cooperating and being difficult, and just being a diva. The photographer was like, “Wale, c’mon, smile a bit” and he was like, “Man, I don’t smile, let these other guys smile.” I was like, what kind of shit is that? In my head I’m thinking, “man, this is GQ. If these niggas want you to smile, smile.” We just got picked for “Men of the Year,” that shit is awesome. It’s wack to be on that shit when you’re at a photo shoot, he shouldn’t be getting all riled up. There was tension throughout the whole shoot. Me and Drake have a rapport, we’re cool. We were automatically hitting it off, and kicking it, and Wale was just not trying to be in the situation. He was trying to be too cool. He was acting like he’s too good for the situation, and that’s how he always is. He always acts like he’s bigger than what he is, and I don’t fuck with that at all.
