[Video] Rick Ross - BMF (Affion Crockett Spoof)

If you know me, you likely know that I hate Rick Ross.  For that reason, this is probably the closest thing to a Rick Ross song you'll ever see on this blog.

Atlantic Tried To Force Lupe To Sign A 360 Deal

"Although he has touched on the topic before, he told fans that Atlantic demanded a 360 deal, including 25% earnings from original music, shows, and outside deals. He explained that, when he declined the offer, Atlantic threatened to withhold money to make music videos, and to not promote his music on the radio.

Lupe also said Atlantic didn’t like his music, or as he put it, 'They think I’m whack.' He told fans that the label sent him hooks to record, and when he completed them, they still did not like them."

Dark Dark Dark x Daytrotter Session

Minneapolis band Dark Dark Dark has a new record called "Wild Go," that takes us into more of those dark spaces of the heart where we're left punching the air, getting dizzy on the intoxicating fallibility of humans holding other humans and of humans doing such things for any length of time, without finding any ways to escape the clutches of suffocation or some form of a death or an ending. We're still stunted by love's powers and, almost hand-in-hand, the powers that a good lonesomeness can bring on. For the thinker and the believer, love and lonesomeness are such close cousins that it doesn't really matter too much and Dark Dark Dark are thinkers and believers to that line. Nona Marie Invie, Marshall LaCount, Todd Chandler and Jonathan Kaiser, as well as their expanded cast of players, have little to no problem exposing themselves - of and to that loneliness and all of the vast promises and coos of love -- and such a comment has nothing to do with the cover of the band's latest album, "Wild Go," which features Invie, LaCount and Kaiser buck-naked from the backside.

Lil Wayne Moved to Solitary Confinement for Remainder of Sentence

"Rikers Island has moved the rapper to solitary confinement as part of his punishment for getting caught with headphones and a mp3 player back in May (the jail had to wait for a spot to open up). He will be confined to an isolation cell for up to 23 hours a day until he is released November 4, and will see his out-of-cell time restricted to visits, religious services and a single hour of recreational time per day. Also, he will now only get to make one personal phone call a week."

Martian Chronicles: The Lil Wayne Simile Counter

Viva la Weezy! Lil Wayne’s kind-of-new album that was recorded half a year ago just dropped, and like most of his projects, the metaphors, similes and punch lines are aplenty. Maybe it’s because we missed Wayne, but there seem to be an exorbitant amount of similes on I Am Not A Human Being. It was like Weezy said “like” every other line. Our crack research staff at TSS decided to go song-by-song, counting all of the similes for you and highlighting the dopest examples and a few that made us scratch our heads.
